Pittsburgh's offense has been elite in the L5 (6.8 R/G, .886 OPS) with Reynolds (🔥), Griffin (🔥), and Lowe all productive. However, Miami is on a 4-game losing streak and ranks 26th in overall record. Nolan McLean has a strong K-rate (75 K in 61.1 IP) but a 4.40 ERA. Both teams are near the bottom of their respective standings and neither offense is particularly threatening. Weather data is unavailable, adding uncertainty. This is a low-confidence game between two struggling clubs.

Houston is at home and has a strong L5 (5.8 R/G) but Misiorowski's elite profile is the dominant factor.

Michael Wacha (2.69 ERA, 1.02 WHIP) is clearly the better pitcher here against Jack Leiter (4.75 ERA, 1.37 WHIP), but Kansas City's offense is historically bad over the L5 (2.2 R/G, .583 OPS) on a 5-game losing streak, limiting the value of the pitching edge. Ben Rice (1.046 OPS, 17 HR), Chisholm (🔥), Grisham (🔥), and Judge provide elite firepower. Will Warren (3.55 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 65 K in 58.1 IP, 6-1 W-L) is a clear pitching edge. The Athletics have scored just 2.4 R/G in the L5 and are a .483 team facing one of the best rosters in the AL.

This is a dominant matchup for Los Angeles on multiple levels. Yamamoto (3.09 ERA, 0.98 WHIP) vs Painter (5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP) is a clear pitching edge. The Dodgers (.785 OPS, 5.26 R/G) are one of the best offenses in baseball — Ohtani (🔥, .385 L14 AVG), Freeman, Pages, and Muncy are all dangerous — and their L5 is scorching (6.2 R/G, .924 OPS).
