Joe Ryan is the clear pitching edge here — ERA 3.20, WHIP 0.97, with an impressive 79 Ks in 70.1 IP. Kansas City counters with Luinder Avila who carries a concerning 4.44 ERA and bloated 1.71 WHIP. The Royals sit at .391 and their offense has been cold (3.9 R/G L5), with multiple key hitters running cold including Witt Jr., Jensen, and Isbel. Minnesota's offense hits RHP reasonably well (.714 OPS) and Buxton provides a power threat. However, both teams are going poorly of late (MIN 3-7 L10), which limits confidence.

Both starters are left-handed with mediocre numbers — Lodolo at 5.20 ERA and Liberatore at 4.35 ERA. The Cardinals hold a slight edge in record (.541 vs .500) and their offense has a warm Jordan Walker (.906 OPS, 15 HR). However, STL has been cold over L10 (4-6) with only 3.4 R/G over the last 5, and their lineup is full of cold bats. Cincinnati's offense shows some pop with JJ Bleday (.980 OPS) and Sal Stewart hot. The LHP vs LHP matchup favors Cincinnati's right-side-heavy lineup slightly, but the edge is not strong enough to recommend a play.

Ben Brown has been outstanding this season — ERA 1.92, WHIP 0.93 in 51.2 IP with 53 Ks, giving the Cubs a massive pitching edge. While San Francisco has been red hot offensively in the last 5 games (7.1 R/G, OPS .954) with multiple hot hitters, Brown's numbers suggest he can suppress that. The Cubs have a slight home advantage at Wrigley with wind blowing in from ENE (8 mph), which suppresses offense and hurts the hot Giants bats. San Francisco's Roupp is a 4.22 ERA arm who can be hit. The Cubs lineup features Crow-Armstrong hot and Happ with power.

This is a near-even game with both sides priced at -110. Fisher has been sharp (ERA 2.62, WHIP 0.93) but in a smaller sample. Bradish's 3.44 ERA is solid but his 1.42 WHIP is concerning. Baltimore's offense has been excellent over the last 5 games (6.4 R/G, OPS .822) with Alonso, Coby Mayo, and Basallo all recently hot. Toronto counters with Guerrero Jr., Okamoto, and Sánchez hot. The matchup is too close to call with confidence — both teams are mediocre in overall record (.484 vs .469) and the offensive form makes this a coin flip.

Andrew Painter has been genuinely bad this year — 5.74 ERA, 1.52 WHIP in 53.1 IP with a 1-6 record. The Phillies' offense has also been cold (3.7 R/G L5, .221 AVG) with multiple hitters in the cold zone. Chicago's offense has been rolling (6.1 R/G L5, OPS .821) with several hot hitters including Peters, Quero, Acuña, and Grichuk. Eisert has a small sample but 3.55 ERA in limited action. White Sox have a better overall record (.524) and the offensive matchup against Painter is favorable. At +113, there's slight moneyline value added.

Eduardo Rodriguez has been one of the best starters in the NL this season — 2.24 ERA, 1.19 WHIP in 72.1 IP, 5-1 record. Washington's lineup vs LHP actually rates up (.267/.776 vs LHP), but Littell carries a 5.01 ERA and Arizona's offense, while cold recently (3.2 R/G L5), has upside with Carroll (.925 OPS) and Marte (recently hot). The key edge is the pitching mismatch — Rodriguez is a legitimate ace-level arm against a below-average Nationals rotation. Chase Field dome game negates the 104°F heat factor.

Major uncertainty surrounds this game — the Athletics' starter Kade Morris has no available stats, making pitcher evaluation impossible. Houston's Imai carries a 5.52 ERA in a small sample (29.1 IP), which is concerning but the Astros have Yordan Alvarez (1.074 OPS, 21 HR) anchoring a solid lineup. Oakland's offense has been cold (3.4 R/G L5) and their record is modest at .476. With no data on the away starter and both teams in mediocre form, this is an unanalyzable game. Pass.

Atlanta is the clear choice here across multiple factors. The Braves are baseball's best team (.672, 43-21) with the best team ERA (3.22) and RA/G (3.48). Spencer Strider is dominant — 40 Ks in just 31 IP (returning from injury?) with a 3.77 ERA. The Atlanta lineup features Olson, Harris II, Acuña, and Albies — a murderer's row against RHP (.771 OPS). Pittsburgh's Ashcraft is genuinely good (2.77 ERA), and the Pirates have been hot offensively (7 R/G L5), but this matchup clearly favors Atlanta's superior talent across the board. The -118 price is very reasonable for Atlanta's profile.

Shane McClanahan is one of the best starters in the AL — 2.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 6-2 record, 53 Ks in 55 IP. Tampa Bay is the best team in this matchup by record (.617) though they've cooled off recently (3-7 L10). Miami's Bachar has decent surface numbers (3.45 ERA, 0.96 WHIP) but in a very small sample (31.1 IP). The Marlins offense has been cold against LHP (.234/.696) and their overall lineup is weak with multiple cold hitters. Caminero and Yandy Díaz are scorching for Tampa, providing run support. Miami's overall offensive profile (.697 OPS, 4.19 R/G) is below average.

This is a genuinely difficult game to handicap. Bibee's 0-7 record is alarming despite a 4.57 ERA and 1.30 WHIP — Cleveland's bats have not been supporting him and he's been unlucky, but it creates uncertainty. Leiter at 4.34 ERA is similarly mediocre. Cleveland has the better overall record (.554 vs .492) but their offense is cold (3.4 R/G L5, .678 OPS vs RHP). Texas has been better recently (7-3 L10, W1) with Josh Jung scorching (.842 OPS L5). The matchup is too close with both starters middle-of-the-road and mixed offensive form on both sides.

The Yankees have clear advantages across multiple dimensions. Will Warren is having a breakout season — 3.22 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 7-1 record, 70 Ks in 64.1 IP. New York's lineup vs LHP is potent (.253/.802 OPS), and Ben Rice (1.050 OPS, 18 HR) is one of the hottest hitters in baseball. The Yankees team ERA (3.30) and RA/G (3.60) are elite. Boston counters with Suarez who's decent (3.38 ERA) but Red Sox are 27-35 with a cold lineup vs RHP (.239/.681). The Yankees' 6.4 R/G over the last 5 shows they're swinging well. The -123 price is very reasonable.

Jacob Misiorowski is one of the best pitchers in the NL this season — ERA 1.65, WHIP 0.79, a staggering 108 Ks in 71 IP with a 6-2 record. Milwaukee (.623) is the class of this matchup against Colorado (.375). The Rockies' TBD starter is a massive wildcard that further favors the Brewers. While Coors Field inflates offense, Milwaukee's pitching edge with Misiorowski is so significant it should suppress that factor. Colorado has been decent at Coors (6 R/G L5, OPS .814) which is expected. At -281, however, this is a significant chalk price, and Coors' inflation could make covering the line harder than expected.

This is the most lopsided matchup of the slate. The Dodgers dominate on every dimension: elite team ERA (3.03), RA/G (3.08), best offense (.783 OPS, 5.17 R/G), Yamamoto pitching to a 2.86 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 69 IP. The Angels sit at .375 with a 5.23 ERA starter (Kochanowicz, 1.48 WHIP). Ohtani and Freeman are both scorching hot, and the Dodgers lineup vs RHP posts .266/.794 — outstanding. The only hesitation is the -375 price, which represents enormous chalk value that limits the practical bet, but on pure team quality the Dodgers have a dominant edge across all factors. Angels have Trout (.876 OPS) but the team around him is thin.

San Diego's Canning has been dreadful — 7.16 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 0-4 in 27.2 IP. The Padres are in a brutal 1-9 stretch over their last 10 games (6-game losing streak) with an anemic offense (.186 AVG, OPS .562 in the last 5 games). New York's McLean is solid (4.21 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 77 Ks) and Juan Soto (.922 OPS, 13 HR) anchors a lineup that has been producing (5 R/G L5). The Mets' team ERA (3.77) and pitching staff are clearly superior to SD's current setup. Petco Park suppresses offense, which actually helps the better-pitching side. Multiple Padres cold bats make it hard to manufacture runs against even a mediocre starter.
