Both teams are 31-34 and struggling to differentiate themselves. Gausman (3.36 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) has a clear edge over Baz (4.29 ERA, 1.37 WHIP), but the Orioles' offense has been hot (6.2 R/G last 5 games) while Toronto has cooled (4.2 R/G). Griffin Jax has a 4.76 ERA and 1.47 WHIP as a converted reliever. Sandy Alcantara (4.59 ERA, 1.30 WHIP) has not recaptured his Cy Young form, and Miami hits only 3.3 R/G over the last 10 games. Both offenses are similarly underwhelming against same-handed pitching, and the near pick'em odds reflect the difficulty in separating these teams right now.

Two struggling teams with mediocre pitching square off in Houston. Gage Jump has only 12 innings of data (3.75 ERA), making him an unknown quantity. Burrows is getting hammered at 5.66 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. Houston hits .256/.782 vs LHP (Jump's handedness) with Yordan Alvarez absolutely on fire (.367 L14, 1.084 OPS) — that's a real platoon edge. However, Oakland has lost 7 of 10, scores only 3.4 R/G lately, and carries a 4.61 ERA. Houston's offense has been more productive (5.8 R/G last 10) but their team ERA of 4.92 is alarming. The Astros have the offensive edge with Alvarez but too many red flags on both sides to commit.

Minnesota's lineup hits only .231/.680 vs LHP, and Kansas City hits .232/.674 vs LHP, meaning neither team has a meaningful platoon advantage against the opposing starter. Bobby Witt Jr. remains a threat but the rest of KC's lineup is cold. This game is a pass with no identifiable edge.

Michael McGreevy stands out with a 2.98 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 66.1 innings — a significant edge over Lowder's 5.40 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. St. Louis has won 3 straight and is 5-5 in L10 while Cincinnati has lost 7 of 10 and scores only 3.6 R/G over that stretch. Arizona is in a severe offensive slump — only 2.6 R/G over the last 10 games with a .189/.537 line, and multiple key hitters (Arenado, Vargas, Barrosa) are ice cold. The Diamondbacks hit only .227/.661 vs RHP (Cavalli's handedness), which is a concerning split against Washington's starter who carries a respectable 3.62 ERA and 74 strikeouts. Huascar Brazobán has been quietly excellent with a 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 32 innings, providing the Mets with a genuine pitching edge over Vásquez (3.31 ERA, solid but lesser). San Diego's offense is alarming — only 2.7 R/G over the last 10 games with a .188/.576 slash, and multiple key hitters (Machado, Bogaerts, Sheets, Andujar, Fermin, Johnson) are in deep cold streaks. Juan Soto provides punch for New York (.902 OPS), and the Mets have been 6-4 in their last 10. Petco Park suppresses offense, which further hurts the already cold Padres. The Mets' pitching edge and San Diego's offensive collapse make this a lean.
