NYY is the stronger team overall (41-27 vs 34-36) with a significantly better offense (.763 OPS, 5.1 R/G). Ben Rice and Goldschmidt are both scorching hot. While TOR hits RHP adequately (.719 OPS) and has some hot bats (Clement, Sánchez), Schlittler's historically low ERA and WHIP make this a meaningful pitching advantage for New York.

BAL has the offensive edge at home (5.9 R/G last 10G, .749 OPS vs RHP) with several hot bats (Alonso, Cowser, Jackson), and SD's offense has been dreadful lately (3.1 R/G last 10G). However, Gibson is extremely concerning as the home starter — 4.24 ERA in just 17 IP with only 5 strikeouts, indicating a very small sample of questionable quality. Vásquez is serviceable (3.63 ERA). The -124 price on BAL combined with Gibson's shaky profile and limited IP makes this a pass despite BAL's offensive advantage.

Despite Seattle's significant moneyline favorite status (-154), Luis Castillo has struggled badly this season (5.16 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 2-5). Washington's offense is surprisingly strong (5.34 R/G, James Wood at .953 OPS, CJ Abrams at .895 OPS), and Cavalli is the better pitcher on paper (3.88 ERA). The -154 price requires near-certainty that doesn't exist with Castillo pitching this poorly. The Nationals' home offense and +130 value make this too risky to back Seattle at that price.

Miami is riding a 6-game winning streak and has gone 9-1 over their last 10 games, a dramatic form edge. Bachar has been outstanding in limited innings (2.97 ERA, 0.91 WHIP) while Chandler has struggled (4.91 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 2-7). Pittsburgh has lost 2 straight and gone 3-7 in their last 10. The Marlins' hot offense (5.4 R/G last 10G) and superior recent form create real value at +142, which is meaningful positive value given the nearly even underlying talent level.

Soroka has been excellent this season (3.28 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 8-3) providing a real pitching edge over Lowder (5.01 ERA, 1.45 WHIP). Cincinnati has gone 2-8 in their last 10 and their offense has been cold (3.2 R/G last 10G). Arizona's offense has also been quiet lately but Soroka's ability to suppress runs makes this a pitching-first lean. The -116 price is close to neutral, slightly expensive for Arizona's cold offense but Soroka's dominance carries the edge.

Skubal (2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP) is a genuine ace and provides a strong pitching edge over Cantillo (4.57 ERA, 1.51 WHIP). Detroit has been playing well lately (7-3 last 10, 6.4 R/G last 10G) and while their season record is poor, their recent form is impressive. Cleveland's offense has been tepid (3.7 R/G last 10G) and the Guardians hit LHP at just .707 OPS — matching the level the offense operates at against all pitching. At +108, getting Skubal as a moneyline plus underdog represents genuine value.

Both starters are quality arms with nearly identical ERAs (deGrom 3.18, Suarez 3.18) and solid WHIPs. deGrom's strikeout rate (84 K in 70.2 IP) is the slight pitching edge but Suarez is sharp too. BOS offense is below average (.696 OPS, 28-39 record) and TEX has also struggled offensively (3.9 R/G last 10G). The moneyline is tight (-118/-102) but neither side presents a clear edge. This is a coin flip made interesting by two good starters and two struggling offenses.

Atlanta is the best team by record in this slate (45-24) with a superior offense (.750 OPS, 5.14 R/G) and dominant team ERA (3.27). Martín Pérez has been solid (3.02 ERA, 1.06 WHIP) while NYM has a TBD starter — a significant unknown that tilts toward ATL. NYM's offense is weak (.662 OPS, 4.04 R/G) and they struggle especially vs LHP (.656 OPS). Despite Atlanta's 3-game losing streak and the -102 price being nearly pick'em, the talent gap and TBD starter lean Braves.

Yamamoto (2.68 ERA, 0.92 WHIP) is a clear quality edge over Burke (3.88 ERA, 1.18 WHIP) and LAD's offense is the best in this slate (.784 OPS, 5.36 R/G). However, at -219, this price is a significant negative value and CWS is actually a legitimate team this season (37-31, 6-4 last 10, W3 streak) with several hot bats (Vargas, Meidroth, Peters, Tristan Peters at .452 L14). The overwhelming favorite price combined with CWS being a surprise .544 winning percentage team makes this a pass despite LAD's genuine edge.

KC is favored at -126 despite being a below-.500 team (28-42) while Houston (32-39) has a significant offensive weapon in Yordan Alvarez (1.092 OPS, 24 HR, .360 L14). Burrows has struggled (5.77 ERA) but Cameron (3.84 ERA, 1.19 WHIP) is somewhat better. The key value angle is Houston at +104 as the underdog against a team with a worse overall record. HOU's offense vs LHP is solid (.740 OPS) and Alvarez alone makes any lineup dangerous. KC's offense is weak (.692 OPS) and they're on a 3-game losing streak.

Milwaukee is the right side on paper — best record at home (42-25), elite recent offense (7.4 R/G last 10G), better team ERA (3.42), and facing a struggling Nola (5.86 ERA). However, the -175 price is firmly in the significant negative value territory. Drohan has only 37.2 IP (small sample on his 3.11 ERA), and the Phillies despite Nola's struggles have real offensive weapons (Schwarber .930 OPS, Harper .882 OPS, Marsh .855 OPS). PHI at +144 is tempting value but Nola's 5.86 ERA and Milwaukee's offensive explosion make it hard to back the Phillies.

Colorado sends Kyle Freeland (7.81 ERA, 1.70 WHIP) to the mound — one of the worst starters in the majors this season. Oakland's offense is solid vs LHP (.756 OPS) with hot bats in Soderstrom (.356 L14), Gelof (.327 L14), and Kurtz (.976 OPS season). The Athletics are on a 3-game winning streak (6-4 L10) while Colorado is 4-6 in their last 10 and on a losing streak. Despite the TBD ERA for Estes, the pitching mismatch is stark. At -157, the price is in slight negative value territory but Freeland's historically bad numbers justify it.

Ben Brown has been electric this season (1.74 ERA, 0.88 WHIP in 57 IP), providing a substantial pitching edge over McDonald (4.15 ERA, 1.18 WHIP). SF is a below-.500 team (28-42) on a 14-game below-.500 run this year, while Chicago is solid (36-34). The -119 price is nearly neutral value for what amounts to a clear pitching advantage and record edge. CHC has multiple hot bats (Busch, Crow-Armstrong, Happ, Suzuki all 🔥) despite the lineup's cold L5 (3.8 R/G). Brown's elite metrics make this the clearest pitching-edge play on the slate.

Soriano (2.96 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 82 IP, 7-4) provides a clear pitching edge over Jax (4.15 ERA, 1.41 WHIP). LAA's offense has been strong recently (5.7 R/G last 10G) and they're on a 3-game winning streak. Tampa has cooled considerably (3.8 R/G last 10G, 4-6 L10) despite their good overall record. At -105, the Angels offer slight positive value compared to implied pricing given Soriano's strong season and LAA's hot recent form. The biggest concern is LAA's poor season record (28-42) but the pitching and form edges are real.
