Skenes has the slight edge in WHIP and strikeouts, but Miami's recent offensive surge (8-2 L10, 4.9 R/G L5) and value at +135 make the Marlins worth a lean. Pittsburgh's offense has cooled (3-7 L10) and Skenes' 6-5 record suggests run support issues. At plus money with a comparable pitching matchup, Miami offers modest value.

Trevor Rogers has been one of the worst starters in the AL with a 6.15 ERA and 1.48 WHIP, presenting clear value on the Padres at +114. Walker Buehler has been mediocre (4.33 ERA) but represents a significant upgrade over Rogers. Baltimore's bullpen exposure from Rogers early in games is a real concern. San Diego's pitching staff (3.93 team ERA) is also meaningfully better than Baltimore's (4.60). The Padres' offense is weak (.658 OPS) but faces a highly hittable LHP. The +114 price provides enough cushion for a lean.

This matchup is deceptively even. Emerson Hancock has been excellent (2.74 ERA, 0.95 WHIP) but Seattle's lineup struggles badly against LHP (.213/.630), significantly neutralizing his offensive support. PJ Poulin has a solid 3.20 ERA but limited sample size (25.1 IP) and a concerning 1.46 WHIP. Washington's lineup is dangerous (James Wood, CJ Abrams, .949 and .904 OPS respectively) and the Nats score 5.38 R/G. Seattle is favored at -136 despite going 4-6 in the L10 and having a major split disadvantage. Too many cross-currents for a confident play.

The Yankees have a clear edge in both pitching and team quality. Will Warren (3.41 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 7-1) opposes Patrick Corbin (4.55 ERA, 1.45 WHIP), a meaningful gap in starter quality. New York is the class of the AL at 42-27 with a .760 team OPS, and critically their lineup hits LHP well (.251/.790), directly exploiting Corbin. The Yankees' roster features several hot hitters (McMahon 🔥, Goldschmidt 🔥) and superior run prevention (3.32 team ERA vs 4.07). At -130 the price is neutral value and well-supported by the matchup.

Both teams are underperforming and both starters have been shaky. Gallen (5.43 ERA, 1.55 WHIP) and Abbott (4.10 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) are both below-average starters right now. Arizona's offense has been historically cold (2.2 R/G L5, .587 OPS L5) with nearly every key hitter ❄️, while Cincinnati's offense is also sluggish (3.2 R/G L5). Both teams have lost 7 of their last 10. The line being essentially a pick'em reflects the mutual mediocrity. No edge exists here.

Gavin Williams has been one of the best pitchers in the AL (3.32 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 9-3, 99 K in 86.2 IP) and faces a Detroit offense that hits poorly vs RHP (.240/.710). While Casey Mize has impressive numbers (2.27 ERA, 0.97 WHIP), Cleveland's better record (39-33 vs 29-42) and superior pitching matchup give them a meaningful edge. Detroit is 29-42 overall despite a recent hot streak. Cleveland's bullpen and run prevention (3.75 team ERA) also outclass Detroit's. At -110 this is neutral value for a team with clear advantages.

Atlanta is the best team in baseball at 46-24 (.657) and offers value at +108 against a 31-39 Mets squad. Bryce Elder (2.66 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 84.2 IP) has been excellent and faces a weak Mets lineup (.660 OPS, 4.0 R/G). Freddy Peralta (4.04 ERA, 1.32 WHIP) is clearly the inferior starter. The Braves lineup is deep with Olson, Albies (🔥), and Harris II all performing, while New York's lineup is thin beyond Juan Soto. Getting the best team in baseball at plus money is a strong value proposition.

Spencer Arrighetti has been exceptional (2.21 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 7-1) and represents a clear pitching edge over Stephen Kolek (3.14 ERA, smaller sample at 43 IP). Houston's offense is led by Yordan Alvarez (1.093 OPS, .404 L14 🔥) who is arguably the hottest hitter in baseball, giving the Astros a significant offensive weapon. Kansas City is 28-43 overall and has lost 4 straight despite recent run-scoring. At +100 the Astros have positive expected value against a below-.400 team, despite Houston's own poor record.

St. Louis enters this game with exceptional recent form (7-3 L10, 6.7 R/G in last 10 games, .878 OPS L5) — the hottest offense on today's slate. Michael McGreevy (2.99 ERA, 1.08 WHIP) is clearly superior to Taj Bradley (4.02 ERA, 1.38 WHIP). Minnesota is 32-40 and struggling (3-7 L10) with a 5.22 RA/G suggesting pitching vulnerability. Jordan Walker (.915 OPS), Alec Burleson (.843 OPS), and Iván Herrera (.837 OPS) form a dangerous Cardinals core. At essentially pick'em pricing (-103), the Cardinals' combination of better pitching and elite recent form warrants a lean.

The Dodgers are clearly the superior team at 45-26, but the matchup creates enough uncertainty to pass at -205. Emmet Sheehan (4.70 ERA) is a below-average starter, and the White Sox counter with Bryan Hudson who has a 2.25 ERA (though in only 32 IP). The Dodgers' lineup hits LHP at .245/.742, below their strong overall numbers. Chicago's lineup has multiple hot hitters (Vargas 🔥, Peters 🔥, Grichuk 🔥, Acuña 🔥) and has been productive recently (5.2 R/G L5). At -205 the price requires near-certainty that doesn't exist with Sheehan starting.

Cristopher Sánchez has been the best pitcher on this entire slate — 1.54 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 113 K in 93.1 IP with an 8-2 record. This is a dominant pitching performance that easily clears the pitching gate. Kyle Harrison has been excellent too (2.72 ERA, 7-1) but faces the challenge that Milwaukee's lineup hits LHP notably worse (.239/.679 vs .261/.755 vs RHP). The Phillies have also been playing well (7-3 L10) and have dangerous bats in Schwarber (24 HR), Harper (.873 OPS), and Marsh (.861 OPS). At -131 the price is at the neutral threshold but Sánchez's elite performance justifies the play.

The Athletics have clear advantages in team quality and recent form. Colorado is 26-45 with a dreadful 5.59 team ERA and Sugano (4.08 ERA, limited strikeouts at 39 K in 68.1 IP) gives the A's lineup opportunities to score. The Athletics have won 4 straight and are 6-4 in the L10 with a 5.7 R/G pace recently. Their lineup features Nick Kurtz (🔥 .971 OPS), Tyler Soderstrom (🔥 .364 L14), and Zack Gelof (🔥 .327 L14). At -198, the price is slightly costly but Colorado's 26-45 record, 3-game losing streak, and historically poor pitching staff make this a defensible favorite play.

Logan Webb (3.88 ERA, 1.19 WHIP) is the better starter here but faces a Cubs lineup that has been surging (W3 streak, 4.3 R/G L5, multiple 🔥 hitters in Busch, Crow-Armstrong, and Suzuki). Rolison has been excellent in his small sample (2.25 ERA, 24 IP) but 24 innings is too limited to trust heavily. The Giants are 28-43 — one of the worst records in baseball — and while their offense has been hot (5.4 R/G L5), their overall profile doesn't inspire confidence. The Cubs at +113 have value but Rolison's tiny sample creates too much uncertainty. Pass.

Grayson Rodriguez has been a disaster this season (8.10 ERA, 1.80 WHIP in 23.1 IP), making Tampa Bay's lineup a clear favorite to score runs despite their recent offensive cold spell. The Rays (40-27, .597) are a significantly better team than the Angels (29-42) and Tampa's lineup hits well vs RHP (.258/.729). Legumina is a modest starter (3.07 ERA, limited sample) but the pitching gap is defined by Rodriguez's historically bad numbers. At -122, the Rays represent fair value given the massive starter quality gap.

This is a genuinely even matchup between two mediocre teams. Connelly Early (3.30 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) has the edge over Eovaldi (4.26 ERA, 1.18 WHIP), but it's marginal. Boston is 29-39 while Texas is 34-36 — both struggling teams. The Red Sox lineup hits RHP poorly (.239/.680) but Early has home field advantage at Fenway. Texas hits LHP at .228/.685, below average. Neither team has compelling form. At essentially a pick'em price, there's no value edge sufficient to act on.
