The two starting pitchers are close in quality, the offenses are both inconsistent, and the Pirates' offensive swoon makes backing them a no-play at effectively even money.

Chicago sends Shota Imanaga (3.60 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) against a TBD Washington starter — a massive pitching advantage on paper. The Cubs are the superior team at 69-50 (.580) vs. Washington's 59-61, and Chicago's offense has been productive at 5.16 R/G with Bregman and Hoerner both running hot 🔥. Washington's rotation being TBD compounds the risk for the Nationals, though their lineup does hit LHP slightly better (.261/.782). The Cubs' pitching edge and team quality gap justify a lean at -159, which is on the higher end of comfortable but still within the neutral-to-slight-negative value range.

This game is a near-wash despite the Yankees' home-field and record advantage. Both offenses have been ice-cold in the L10 — Seattle averaging just 2.4 R/G and New York just 2.6 R/G — and both pitchers are mid-tier arms with comparable ERAs (Woo 4.31, Weathers 3.79). Cristopher Sánchez is arguably one of the best value starters in baseball with a 2.65 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 15-4 record in 149.2 innings — he's been an ace all season. Philadelphia's offense has been in good form (5.7 R/G in L10) with Schwarber (35 HR, .911 OPS), Harper (.867 OPS), and multiple hot contributors (Stott, Crawford, Realmuto, Bohm 🔥). Andre Pallante is a solid back-end arm (3.63 ERA) but is clearly outmatched here. Texas should win this game on paper — Ryan Johnson has a 7.11 ERA and the Angels are 45-74, on a 3-game losing streak, and generating just 2.1 R/G in the L10. However, Cody Bradford has pitched only 4.1 innings this season, making him an enormous wildcard — his true performance level is completely unknown. Texas's own offense has been cold (3.7 R/G in L10) with multiple cold hitters (Langford, Lopez, Foscue ❄️). The -137 price on a team with an unknown starter and a cold offense against a bad-but-not-powerless Angels lineup (Trout still active) isn't appetizing enough to back.

Arizona is the better team (64-56 vs 46-73) with a superior pitching staff (4.11 ERA vs Colorado's 5.51 ERA), and they've been in good form (6-4 L10). However, Mitch Bratt has only 27.2 innings pitched in 2026 (1-1, 3.90 ERA) — a very small and uncertain sample. The Diamondbacks hit RHP significantly worse (.230/.682 vs .277/.787 vs LHP), meaning their lineup advantage is diminished against Sugano. Colorado's offense has been surprisingly productive (5.3 R/G L10) with McCarthy and Goodman carrying the load.
