This is a closely matched contest between two below-.500 clubs. Chicago has the better record (62-57 vs 57-62) and slightly better offense (OPS .723 vs .701), but their L10 form (4-6) is mediocre and Cincinnati is neutral (5-5). New York is the clear lean here across multiple factors. Chicago brings the best record on the slate (71-50), a red-hot offense (6.5 R/G L5, .276/.853), and multiple 🔥 hitters (Bregman, Hoerner, Suzuki). Cavalli has a solid ERA (3.57) but faces an elite Cubs offense hitting .243/.743 vs RHP. Gausman's ERA (4.29) is a mild concern but Washington's team ERA (4.76) and RA/G (5.24) are the worst on this slate, and key Nationals hitters are ❄️ (Abrams, Nuñez, Crews). The -146 price is at the edge of value, making this a lean rather than a strong play, as Cavalli is a legitimate arm who can keep it close.

LAA's L5 offense is ice cold (2.6 R/G, .201 AVG, .573 OPS) and multiple hitters are ❄️ (Neto, Schanuel, Peraza, Ballesteros, Guzman). While Texas's own recent offense has been quiet (3.5 R/G L5), their team quality advantage is substantial.
