Chicago's lineup shows a clear split advantage vs LHP (.259/.778), while the Cardinals are hitting .245/.703 against southpaws, slightly below their season norms. Pallante has been solid (3.83 ERA) but the Cubs' hot hitters — PCA (.333 L14), Swanson (.352 L14), Suzuki (.345 L14) — are a real threat. The pitching gate is a concern for Peterson, but Cubs' massive offensive surge and home field tip this as a lean.

Foster Griffin is the clear standout arm on this slate — 2.93 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 98.1 IP, 8-2 record, excellent strikeout rate. Pittsburgh's lineup struggles badly against LHP (.243/.690 vs LHP vs .266/.785 vs RHP), a significant split disadvantage. Mitch Keller at 4.87 ERA / 1.30 WHIP is a mid-rotation arm, while WSH's Luis García Jr. (.386 L14), Keibert Ruiz (.313 L14), and Nasim Nuñez (.310 L14) are hot. The price of -149 is slight negative value but Griffin's elite pitching score justifies the play.

The Yankees' L7 losing streak and historic offensive collapse (2.8 R/G, .162/.497 in L10) are alarming, making them very difficult to trust despite Cole returning and a strong team ERA (3.36). Paredes is a massive liability on the mound (25.1 IP, low K rate), but the Yankees' lineup is ice-cold across the board. Minnesota has hot hitters (Larnach .426 L14, Caratini .326 L14, Lee .316 L14) but their overall talent and Paredes's track record don't inspire confidence. Too many contradictory signals — Yankees' pitching vs offensive collapse, Twins' hot hitters vs weak starter — to have a confident lean.

Both starters are struggling — Rogers at 4.99 ERA / 1.31 WHIP and Singer at 5.12 ERA / 1.54 WHIP — making this a genuine coin flip with no pitching edge. Reds hit .243/.761 vs LHP (an advantage), but their lineup has been cold in L14 (McLain .118, JJ Bleday .116, Steer .160) and the team is only 3-7 in L10. Baltimore is also underperforming at 40-48. Neither team offers sufficient edge to play.

Gavin Williams is the key differentiator: 3.81 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 9-4 record, and a dominant 117 Ks in 101.2 IP — the best arm in this matchup by a wide margin. Cleveland's pitching staff overall is elite (3.78 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 3.99 RA/G). Kay at 4.50 ERA / 1.43 WHIP is below average. CWS hits .243/.733 vs RHP, while CLE's offense vs LHP is weaker (.225/.657), but Williams's K rate and Cleveland's pitching depth provide a clear edge. CWS's recent run scoring (6.2 R/G) is a concern.

Both teams are in free-fall offensively — Braves scoring only 3.0 R/G over L10 and Mets 3.5 R/G, both on losing streaks. Christian Scott (3.20 ERA) gives NYM a slight pitching edge over Holmes (3.96 ERA), but Scott has only 45 IP and the Mets are 36-51 with a 2-8 L10 record. ATL is the better overall team (50-35) but their lineup is full of cold hitters (Baldwin .091 L14, Yastrzemski .152 L14, Mateo .148 L14). No confident edge on either side at near-even odds.

The Giants' starting pitcher is TBD, making any pitching analysis impossible. Without knowing who SF sends to the mound, the pitching gate cannot be cleared for a confident play in either direction. Colorado at Coors Field has been scoring at a 6.1 R/G clip over L10, and Feltner's ERA (4.42) at Coors is workable. SF is priced as a -156 favorite with an unknown arm, which is a significant red flag for a bet.

This is one of the clearest edges on the slate. Nick Martinez is pitching at an elite level (2.66 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 7-2) while Tampa Bay is the hottest team in baseball (51-33, W8 streak, 8-2 in L10). The Rays' lineup is scorching — 5.8 R/G in L10, and their top hitters are all on fire: Caminero (.364 L14), Aranda (.392 L14), Díaz (.396 L14), Mullins (.327 L14), Simpson (.333 L14). Houston's Arrighetti is solid but their lineup is cold (4.4 R/G in L10, multiple ❄️ hitters). The -114 price is near neutral — excellent value for a team with this level of edge.

Reid Detmers presents a strong pitching profile (3.88 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 112 Ks in 99.2 IP) and is the better arm here. However, BOS hits .263/.748 vs LHP — actually giving Boston a split advantage against Detmers. Jake Bennett's sample is small (33 IP) and LAA's offense is underperforming (.235/.643 in L5). Both teams are below .500 with mediocre recent form. The near-even line (-105/-114) combined with Boston's LHP split advantage and Detmers's upside creates too much uncertainty for a confident play.

Tyler Phillips is a legitimate quality arm (3.02 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) compared to Jack Perkins who is struggling badly (6.00 ERA, 51 IP). Miami's lineup has been hot recently (5.4 R/G in L10, .823 OPS in L5) with multiple scorching hitters — Edwards (.347 L14), Hicks (.339 L14), Caissie (.378 L14), Sanoja (.405 L14). The Athletics have been 3-7 in L10 with poor offensive output in L5 (4.4 R/G, .637 OPS) and multiple cold hitters. At +114, Miami offers positive underdog value with a genuine pitching and form edge.

Kyle Harrison is one of the best arms on this slate: 2.57 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 8-1 record, and 96 Ks in 77 IP. Jose Cabrera has just 10 IP of MLB experience — an enormous mismatch on the mound. Milwaukee hits .260/.757 vs RHP (their stronger split), and Arizona's home offense vs LHP (.271/.773) is a concern. However, Cabrera's minuscule sample and inflated ERA (3.60 in 10 IP) suggests he is highly exploitable. The Brewers are the best team on the board (53-32, .624) with strong pitching and a 7-3 L10 record. The -149 price is slight negative value but Harrison's dominance makes this a justified play.

The Dodgers have an overwhelming edge — Ohtani at 1.58 ERA / 0.90 WHIP is historically dominant, their lineup is scorching (6.9 R/G in L10, .905 OPS in L5), and they're the best team in baseball at 57-31. However, the -258 moneyline is significant negative value, requiring an overwhelming edge to play. While the edge is clearly there on pure quality, the price at -258 makes this a poor risk/reward proposition on the moneyline. The WPS of 88 reflects Dodgers' dominance — the 'No play' is purely a value call given the steep juice.

Dylan Cease is the clear pitching advantage — 3.02 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and a dominant 128 Ks in 83.1 IP. Luis Castillo has struggled in 2026 (4.93 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 3-6 record). Toronto hits .258/.717 vs RHP (their stronger split vs Castillo's handedness). Seattle's offense is cold in L5 (3.4 R/G, .640 OPS) and several key hitters are struggling (Crawford .158 L14, Raley .128 L14, Canzone .220 L14, Raleigh .156). At -126, Toronto has neutral-to-slight negative value but Cease's strikeout dominance is a real differentiator.
