Zac Thornton has been solid with a 2.93 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 61.1 innings, giving the Mets a clear pitching edge. The Giants offense struggles against LHP (.664 OPS vs LHP vs .736 vs RHP), a significant split disadvantage, and several key bats are ice cold (Lee, Basabe). Molina has only 14.1 IP of sample — tiny track record — while the Mets have won 2 straight and hold a meaningful RA/G advantage (3.06 vs 3.76). Giants are 58-84 and one of the worst teams in baseball; the -167 price is steep but the lean is clear.

Assad has been one of the more reliable Cubs starters (3.46 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 6-1 W-L over 83.1 IP), giving Chicago a meaningful pitching edge over Gusto (3.86 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 1-3). The Cubs offense is the best in this slate (OPS .772, 5.45 R/G) and is scorching hot in the L10 (6.8 R/G). Marlins score just 4.1 R/G in L10 and several key bats are cold (Lopez, Conine, Ruiz). The -130 price is neutral to slight negative value, but the Cubs edge across pitching and offense supports the play.

Zack Wheeler is one of the best starters in baseball (3.31 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 154 K in 130.1 IP, 11-5) and gives the Phillies a real pitching edge. However, the Phillies offense has cooled sharply (3.4 R/G in L10 vs 5.01 season) and several stars are cold (Turner, Schwarber, Stott, Marsh, Crawford). Braves are 8-2 in L10 with a strong overall roster (84-57), and Martín Pérez has been solid (3.05 ERA). The Braves +135 is attractive value given their record, but Wheeler's dominance and Philly's home edge create a push. Mixed signals across both lineups make this a pass.

Parker Messick has been outstanding this season (2.46 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 161 K in 161 IP, 11-8) and represents a dominant pitching edge over Framber Valdez (4.36 ERA, 1.40 WHIP). Detroit's offense is in freefall — just 3.1 R/G in L10 with a .571 OPS, and multiple key bats are cold. Cleveland is 6-4 in L10 with a W2 streak and scoring 4.6 R/G recently. Both lineups face a LHP, neutralizing split advantages, but Detroit's bats hit worse vs LHP (.686 OPS vs LHP vs .720 vs RHP). At -157 the price is slightly negative but Messick's edge is real.

Kikuchi has been one of the worst starters in baseball (5.65 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 0-5 in 43 IP), while Ashcraft has been excellent (3.59 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 164 K in 160.1 IP, 14-5). The Angels are 1-9 in L10, on a L3 streak, scoring just 3.4 R/G, and their lineup has virtually no hot bats. The Pirates are 7-3 in L10 with a W2 streak and feature a solid offense (OPS .739). The -191 price is steep but this is one of the cleaner edges on the slate across pitching and team quality.

Milwaukee is the best team on this slate (88-54, .620) and is 7-3 in L10 scoring 6.3 R/G. Abbott has a 4.49 ERA and 1.44 WHIP — a hittable pitcher — and the Reds lineup hits only .693 OPS vs RHP. The concern is Dustin May's ERA (4.69, 1.32 WHIP), which prevents this from being a strong lean per the pitching gate. However, the Brewers' offensive firepower and multiple hot bats (Contreras, Mitchell, Yelich, Hamilton) plus the Reds' 4.53 team ERA support Milwaukee. The -157 is slightly negative but team quality difference is real.

Sonny Gray has been superb this season (2.82 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 128 K in 143.2 IP, 16-4) — one of the best records in the AL — compared to Bassitt's 4.97 ERA and 1.58 WHIP, which is a significant pitching mismatch. Boston's team ERA (3.57) and RA/G (3.40) are both superior, and Gray's track record justifies confidence. The -130 price is neutral to slight negative, and at that number the value is reasonable given Gray's dominance. Baltimore is on a L4 losing streak and multiple Oriole bats are cold.

Both starters are quality arms — Rasmussen has an excellent 2.95 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 14-5 record, while deGrom shows a 4.00 ERA but 167 K in 137.1 IP with still-elite stuff. The matchup is close: Rays are the better team (84-57 vs 70-72) with a superior offense and pitching staff overall, but Texas has been scoring 5.2 R/G in L10 with several hot bats (Duran, Seager). The even moneyline (-110 both sides) with a genuinely close matchup makes this a pass — no identifiable edge worth backing.

Both starters are struggling — Scherzer has a 6.16 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 57 IP (2-7), while Lugo posts a 5.03 ERA and 1.42 WHIP (6-8). Neither starter clears the pitching threshold, making this a high-scoring, unpredictable game. Toronto is 7-3 in L10 with a W3 streak, but their pitching allows 4.82 R/G. Kansas City has multiple hot bats (Caglianone, Massey, Jensen, Perez) and a favorable home split. With both aces struggling and an even line, there is no clear edge to exploit.

Bradley (3.85 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 178 K) and Kay (4.28 ERA, 1.35 WHIP) are both serviceable mid-rotation starters with no major edge for either side. Minnesota's lineup faces a LHP and hits significantly worse vs LHP (.691 OPS vs LHP vs .744 vs RHP), eroding their offensive advantage. The White Sox have been solid at home (74-67, scoring 4.6 R/G in L10) and Miguel Vargas is blazing (.354 L14, OPS .851). The Twins are on a L2 streak despite being 4-6 in L10. The +102 on Minnesota is slight value but not enough to overcome the LHP split disadvantage.

Pecko has a 6.23 ERA in only 13 IP — an extreme small sample but alarming — and the Astros are turning to a virtual unknown in a key spot. Pfaadt (3.49 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 7-2 in 111 IP) is a legitimate mid-rotation arm with a solid track record. The Astros are 7-3 in L10 and W3 streak, with Yordan Alvarez (1.035 OPS) carrying a dangerous offense. However, Arizona hits .681 OPS vs RHP and has been ice cold offensively (3.1 R/G in L10). The -108 price on Arizona is nearly neutral, making this a slight lean, not a strong play given Arizona's offensive cold stretch.

Both starters are LHP with similar profiles, but the Yankees offense is clearly superior (OPS .731, 5.06 R/G, 5.2 R/G in L10) with a lineup featuring multiple hot bats (Rice, Chisholm, Bellinger, Garcia Jr., Goldschmidt, Wells). Rodón has a solid 3.20 ERA in 59 IP. The Padres offense has gone cold (3.3 R/G in L10, .607 OPS in L5) and key bats are cold (Cronenworth, Song, Campusano). The Yankees hit .726 OPS vs LHP (favorable split) while San Diego hits .688 OPS vs LHP (slight negative). At +109, Yankees offer slight positive value with a better offense and comparable pitching.

Coors Field immediately neutralizes pitching analysis — both starters are problematic (Liberatore 5.41 ERA, Adams only 9 IP sample), making run scoring the dominant factor. The Rockies hit .756 OPS vs RHP and .770 OPS in L5 at home, and their lineup has genuine pop (Goodman 36 HR, McCarthy, Rumfield). Cardinals have been scoring 5.5 R/G in L10 but Liberatore is hittable (1.47 WHIP). At Coors, the Cardinals -126 price is not enough edge to justify backing a struggling LHP starter, and the Rockies' home advantage at altitude is real. Pass given too many unknowns.

Glasnow is exceptional (2.79 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, 62 K in 51.2 IP, 4-0) and the Dodgers are a 84-57 powerhouse with a deep lineup. However, Cavalli has also been excellent (3.12 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 177 K in 152.2 IP, 12-5) — he's one of the better starters in baseball this year. The Dodgers at -225 require an overwhelming edge; while their quality is undeniable, Cavalli's quality reduces the certainty needed to justify that price. Multiple Dodgers hitters are cold in L14 (Ohtani, Muncy, Tucker) and the team is only 4-6 in L10. The edge is real but -225 is simply too steep.

Springs has a 6.37 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 123 IP — one of the worst qualified starters in baseball — while Kirby (4.19 ERA, 1.35 WHIP) is not dominant either. Seattle's offense hits only .634 OPS vs LHP (a significant negative split) and is in a L2 losing streak, 3-7 in L10. The Athletics are riding a W3 streak with a hot L10 offense (5.1 R/G) and several hot bats. Seattle at -250 requires massive certainty, but Kirby is not dominant and Seattle's LHP split disadvantage undercuts their lineup. While Seattle has clear structural advantages in pitching and home field, the price is far too steep for this level of uncertainty.
