Sean Burke has been solid in a full season (ERA 3.47, 161 IP) but the Tigers are the hotter team by nearly every metric. Detroit is 7-3 in their last 10 and carrying scorching L5 form (6.3 R/G, .840 OPS) with Greene, McGonigle, and Torkelson all hot. The White Sox offense has cratered over the last 10 games (3.9 R/G, .656 OPS L5) with most of their lineup ice cold — Montgomery, Murakami, B. Montgomery, Meidroth all showing ❄️. Jobe is a relative unknown with a small sample (34.2 IP) but Detroit's run-scoring upside and Chicago's offensive collapse tip the edge to the visitors at plus-money (+113).

Milwaukee is a legitimate 96-win club riding an 8-2 L10 stretch with elite recent offense (7.2 R/G, .849 OPS L5). Turang, Mitchell, and Ortiz are all blazing hot (🔥) and Jackson Chourio is consistent. Baltimore counters with Trevor Rogers (ERA 4.22) whose struggles vs. a lineup this potent are real concerns. Gasser's ERA (4.30) isn't dominant but he's a full-season arm and the Brewers' offensive surge is the primary driver here. Baltimore's lineup is cold — Taveras, Beavers, Narváez, and Jackson all ice cold — and their team OPS is a modest .702. At near-even money (-114), Milwaukee offers value.

Tampa Bay is the better team (93-60) with superior home offense and a strong L10 (8-2), and Freddy Peralta gives them a defined starter advantage over Boston's TBD pitcher. However, Peralta's ERA (4.67) and WHIP (1.34) are concerning and Boston's staff ERA (3.52) is elite. The TBD starter makes this unplayable from a pitching analysis standpoint — line value is poor at -157 for Tampa. Pass until Boston's starter is confirmed.

Christian Scott (ERA 3.76, WHIP 1.26, 127 Ks in 105.1 IP) presents a clear pitching edge over Andrew Painter (ERA 5.54, WHIP 1.44, 3-9 W-L) who has been one of the worst starters in the NL this season. The Mets' L5 offense has been clicking (5.1 R/G) with Ewing and Baty both hot, and Juan Soto (.920 OPS) anchors a dangerous middle of the order. Painter's numbers are bad enough to warrant fading despite Philadelphia's stronger season record. The Mets at home as moderate favorites is supportable, though their overall season record (70-84) is a concern.

Cleveland is the stronger team on both sides of the ball against an Athletics club in freefall (61-93, L4 losing streak, 3.3 R/G L5, .606 OPS L5). Bibee's ERA (4.16) is modest but comfortably outclasses Lopez's poor numbers (ERA 5.02, WHIP 1.48). The A's team ERA of 5.37 and WHIP of 1.51 are among the worst in baseball. Cleveland is on a 3-game winning streak with Bazzana and Rocchio running hot. The Guardians hit better vs LHP at home and the Athletics' offensive collapse makes this a solid lean, albeit at steep juice (-188).

The Cubs present a clear edge in pitching (Boyd ERA 4.16 vs Lodolo ERA 5.12/WHIP 1.49) and offense (.772 OPS, 5.43 R/G vs Reds' .698/.3.94). Critically, Cincinnati hits LHP better (.742 OPS vs .690 vs RHP), but the Cubs' own lineup also hits LHP better (.799 OPS) — a push, but Chicago's raw numbers are far superior. Pete Crow-Armstrong (.948 OPS, 44 HR) is a force and Conforto is hot. The Reds' L5 offense has cratered (3.1 R/G, .621 OPS) and their pitching staff is one of the worst in the NL. Cubs at -143 are reasonably priced given the edge.

This is a well-matched game with neither side presenting a meaningful edge. Noah Cameron (ERA 3.84, WHIP 1.19) is actually the better pitcher on paper, but Kansas City's offense has collapsed (3.1 R/G L5) and they are 3-7 in their last 10 on a 2-game skid. Pittsburgh has the home edge, better recent form (6-4 L10, W2 streak) and a solid lineup, but their splits vs LHP drop significantly (.696 OPS vs .754 vs RHP). The line is essentially a coin flip (-102/-118) and the data supports that — no actionable edge.

Cal Quantrill has been outstanding in his limited workload (ERA 2.90, WHIP 1.05 in 108.2 IP) — a significant pitching advantage over Soriano (ERA 3.56), though both are solid. Texas has better recent form (6-4 L10, W1 streak, 5.0 R/G L5) and multiple hot hitters in Seager and Lopez. Toronto's offense is anemic this season (3.55 R/G) and their lineup is cold in the aggregate. Quantrill's elite WHIP gives Texas a genuine edge, and the line is essentially a pick'em (-111) making this a lean worth taking.

Atlanta presents value at +113 as the clearly superior team (90-64 vs 77-77) with a better pitching matchup — Holmes (ERA 3.49) edges Wesneski (ERA 3.70), though Wesneski has only 48.2 IP making his numbers a small sample. Houston's offense has gone cold (3.6 R/G L5) with Alvarez, Walker, and Varsho all ice cold (❄️). Atlanta's lineup is producing more consistently — Acuña (🔥), Dubón (🔥), Harris, and Baldwin anchor a well-rounded attack. The plus-money line makes Atlanta the play despite Houston having home field.

Andrew Alvarez (ERA 3.35, WHIP 1.27) provides a slight pitching edge over McGreevy (ERA 3.83, WHIP 1.24). More importantly, the Cardinals are in free fall — 3-7 in their last 10, L3 losing streak, with an offense that has generated only 3.7 R/G in recent games and a .596 OPS over L5. The Cardinals' lineup is cold bottom-to-top — Jordan Walker, Gorman, Pages, Masyn Winn, all showing concerning trends. Washington's James Wood (.911 OPS) and Keibert Ruiz (🔥) give them genuine offensive upside. At near-even money (-104), the Nationals have value.

Seattle holds a clear pitching and form edge over a Colorado team that is 1-9 in their last 10 and on a 3-game losing streak. Quintana (ERA 5.27, WHIP 1.51 in just 41 IP) is a liability, while Miller (ERA 4.19, WHIP 1.16) is a legitimate arm. Seattle's L5 offense has exploded (6.0 R/G, .816 OPS) with Arozarena sizzling (🔥, .858 OPS L14). The Rockies' ERA of 5.55 is the worst in baseball and their schedule collapse is severe. Note that Seattle's split vs LHP is weak (.651 OPS) — a real concern against Quintana — but Colorado's overall dysfunction and Quintana's poor numbers override that factor. -155 is steep but justified by the mismatch.

Cam Schlittler is having one of the best pitching seasons in baseball (ERA 1.95, WHIP 0.90, 228 Ks in 184.2 IP, 14-6) — an overwhelming pitching advantage over Pfaadt (ERA 3.77, WHIP 1.17). The Yankees are a 89-win club with elite recent form (8-2 L10, 6.0 R/G L5) and multiple hot bats — Rice (🔥, .897 OPS), Bellinger (🔥), Goldschmidt (🔥). Arizona is on a 3-game losing streak, their offense hits RHP worse (.687 OPS vs .776 vs LHP), and Pfaadt is a clear step down. Even at -167, Schlittler's near-historic ERA warrants the play — this is the clearest pitching dominant edge on the slate.

San Diego is surging (9-1 L10, W3 streak, 7.1 R/G L5, .927 OPS L5) with Merrill, Bogaerts, France, and Fermin all scorching hot. Casey Mize (ERA 3.69, WHIP 1.14) edges Eury Pérez (ERA 3.99, WHIP 1.24) in the pitching matchup. The Padres' overall offensive explosion in recent games is the dominant story — that .927 OPS over the last 5 games is elite. Miami's lineup is inconsistent with several cold bats. At -159 the juice is steep but the Padres' comprehensive hot streak across pitching and offense makes this the clearest home play on the card.

The Dodgers are overwhelmingly superior on every metric — Skubal (ERA 2.70, WHIP 0.95, 173 Ks) is an ace-caliber starter, LAD's lineup is loaded with multiple hot hitters, and San Francisco is a 64-90 team with a TBD starter. However, at -404, the moneyline requires an 80%+ implied probability with almost no margin for error. The Giants' TBD starter makes analysis incomplete and no bettor should be laying -404. This is a 'No play' strictly due to the prohibitive juice, not team quality.

Reid Detmers (ERA 3.36, WHIP 1.05, 199 Ks in 174 IP) is the better pitcher and gives the Angels a meaningful pitching advantage. However, Minnesota's Joe Ryan (ERA 3.84, WHIP 1.16) is competitive, and the Angels are a 59-95 team with one of the worst run environments in the majors (3.34 R/G). Minnesota's offense splits against LHP (.674 OPS) are poor — a real concern with Detmers on the mound. The Twins' L5 offense has been cold (2.9 R/G) and the Angels have surprisingly been decent at run prevention at home (3.51 RA/G). This game leans to a pass, but slight Twins advantage at near-even money (-108) based on team quality and Ryan outperforming expectations.
