This is a close matchup between two elite pitchers, but the edges tilt modestly toward Cleveland at home. Parker Messick (2.56 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 186.1 IP) has been outstanding and matches up well against a Tampa Bay lineup that hits significantly worse vs LHP (.248/.679 vs .263/.752 vs RHP), and whose L5 offense has been ice cold (3.8 R/G, .226 AVG, .629 OPS). Cleveland's offense, while inferior on paper, is hitting 5.3 R/G over the last 10 games with a white-hot .265 AVG/.807 OPS stretch, and key hitters like Kwan (🔥 .353 L14) and Angel Martínez (🔥 .327 L14) are in strong form vs. a RHP in Rasmussen. The Guardians' 8-2 L10 record and home field add further credence. At +110, the underdog price offers slight positive value relative to the actual edge, making this a lean worth taking.
