Tampa Bay is the better team by record (74-48) and has dominant recent form (8-2 L10, 6 R/G last 5), but Freddy Peralta is a significant liability on the mound with a 5.33 ERA and 1.50 WHIP — well below the pitching gate threshold. The Rays' offense actually performs worse vs LHP (.249/.683 vs .266/.762 vs RHP), which blunts some of their edge against Trevor Rogers. Rogers is serviceable (4.21 ERA, 1.25 WHIP) and Baltimore's lineup has several hot bats (Alonso, Mayo, Cowser, O'Neill). The price on TB (-140) is hard to justify given Peralta's struggles.

Boston holds a clear advantage in pitching quality — their team ERA (3.32) and RA/G (3.11) are excellent, and while Sandoval's WHIP is high (1.70), his ERA (3.30) is solid in his limited sample. Bachar (3.97 ERA, 1.08 WHIP) is respectable but Pittsburgh is 3-7 in their last 10 and the lineup is cold (multiple ❄️ in L14). PIT offense drops to .243/.691 vs LHP, working against them here. Boston's offense has been rolling (5.4 R/G last 5, multiple hot hitters) and BOS is the better overall club. The near-pick'em line (-109) offers good value on Boston.

Michael Soroka is the best pitcher in this matchup by a significant margin — 2.92 ERA and 1.10 WHIP are elite numbers, and he gives AZ a strong pitching edge over Elder (4.03 ERA, 1.25 WHIP). Atlanta's lineup actually struggles recently (4.1 R/G last 5, .232/.693) and Elder has been inconsistent. Arizona is 6-4 L10 with momentum (W2 streak), and their offense is hot (4.7 R/G last 5, .273/.831). The +115 price adds value for a team with a genuine ace-level starter. ATL is the better team by record but this specific matchup tilts toward AZ.

Dylan Cease is one of the elite starters in this slate — 2.40 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 191 K in 131.1 IP is dominant. The Blue Jays get a huge pitching edge here. The concern is Toronto's offense vs LHP (.218/.626) is poor, but their L10 7-3 form and W2 streak show the team is playing well. New York's offense is in a severe cold stretch (2.8 R/G last 5, .200 AVG, .638 OPS) with multiple key hitters ice-cold including Ben Rice and Jazz Chisholm Jr. Cease should be able to exploit this slumping lineup. At -118, there's reasonable value on the better pitcher.

The Mets have better pitching (Scott 3.45 ERA vs Irvin 5.79 ERA) and are 7-3 in their last 10 despite being below .500. However, the Mets' overall offensive quality is modest (.699 OPS, 3.94 R/G), and WSH has been scoring (5.7 R/G last 5). Irvin's 5.79 ERA makes Washington's pitching unreliable, but Washington's offense has been surprisingly productive recently. The -159 price on NYM requires strong conviction that is hard to justify given the Mets' weak offensive profile and Washington's recent run-scoring. Scott is solid but not dominant enough at -159 to feel comfortable.

Casey Mize (3.38 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) holds a clear advantage over Tanner Bibee (3.99 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 4-12 record). San Diego is 7-3 in their last 10 and 4.8 R/G in their last 5, while Cleveland is 3-7 in their L10 with a losing streak. Mize has been efficient and Cleveland's offense is modest (.691 OPS). The near-pick'em line (-105) is excellent value for the team with the better pitcher and better recent form. Multiple Padres hitters (Merrill, France, Cronenworth, Fermin) are hot recently.

Sean Burke (2.99 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 152 K in 135.2 IP) is a clear pitching advantage over Drew Anderson (3.91 ERA, 1.30 WHIP). Burke is one of the better starters on this slate and CWS is the better team by record (64-58 vs 60-63). Chicago's offense has been hot (5.4 R/G last 5, .803 OPS) and their lineup handles RHP well (.240/.729 vs RHP). Detroit's lineup has some hot bats (Torkelson, McKinstry) but their recent scoring is softer (4.7 R/G last 5). At +103, Chicago offers real value with the superior starter.

Eury Pérez (3.39 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 128 K) is significantly better than Nick Lodolo (4.86 ERA, 1.46 WHIP). Cincinnati's offense is cold — just 3.4 R/G in their last 5 games (.193/.626) and their lineup struggles vs RHP (.223/.690). CIN is L1 streak and sits at .484. Miami's offense is modest but their pitching advantage is meaningful. The Reds have multiple ice-cold hitters (De La Cruz, Bleday, Friedl, Myers) recently. At -118, the price is reasonable given Pérez's edge.

This is a genuine toss-up game where both starting pitchers have significant concerns. Painter has a 6.27 ERA and 1.53 WHIP — well below the pitching gate — and Kremer has a 5.25 ERA in a limited sample. Neither team's pitching can anchor a strong lean. Philadelphia's offense is better (.715 OPS, 5 R/G last 5) with elite bats in Harper and Schwarber, while Minnesota's offense is also decent (.730 OPS, 3.9 R/G last 5). Both teams are roughly even on recent form (PHI 5-5, MIN 4-6). The near-pick'em line doesn't offer value when both starters are liabilities.

The Cubs are clearly the better team (72-52, 7-3 L10, 5.19 R/G) with a quality lineup, but Cabrera's 5.10 ERA and 1.40 WHIP prevents this from meeting the pitching gate for a strong lean. Dobbins has a better ERA (3.40) in a limited 45 IP sample. The Cubs' home advantage and offensive depth (Crow-Armstrong, Suzuki, Busch) give them an edge, but at -174 the price is steep for a starter posting a 5.10 ERA. A strong lean requires pitching support that Cabrera doesn't provide, and paying heavy juice for a shaky starter is poor value.

Both teams are well below .500 (COL 49-74, SF 51-72) with poor pitching on both sides. Hughes has a 5.61 ERA in a tiny 33.2 IP sample, and Tidwell at 2.78 ERA seems compelling but has only 22.2 IP — far too small to trust. San Francisco's offense is in a severe cold stretch (2.7 R/G last 5, .198/.579), which undermines any home field advantage. Colorado has been scoring better recently (though from a low base) and their lineup has legitimate bats. The -124 price on SF is hard to justify given the Giants' offensive collapse and Tidwell's microscopic sample size.

Texas holds a clear edge in pitching with Bradford's 2.38 ERA, but his sample is tiny (11.1 IP) making it extremely difficult to project forward. Lopez has a 5.38 ERA and 1.56 WHIP for Oakland, who are 3-7 in their L10. Texas's offense has been cold (3.4 R/G last 5, .209/.605) with multiple key hitters struggling including Langford, Carter, and Pederson. Despite Oakland's inferior record and poor pitching, the Rangers' own offensive slump and Bradford's micro sample make this too uncertain to commit to at -129.

Two bottom-tier teams (KC 50-74, LAA 49-75) with a miserable pitching matchup. Ryan Johnson's 6.71 ERA and 1.56 WHIP is among the worst on the slate, and Noah Cameron's 4.45 ERA is mediocre. Kansas City has been cold offensively (3.5 R/G last 5, .597 OPS) and is 3-7 in their last 10. The Angels have been scoring slightly better and have won their last game, but neither team merits investment. This is a pure skip.

Tarik Skubal (2.93 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 128 K) is a legitimate ace and gives the Dodgers a meaningful pitching edge, supported by a strong lineup featuring Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy. However, at -176 the price is too steep — especially with both teams 5-5 in their L10 and LA's offense in a cold stretch (3.6 R/G last 5). Milwaukee counters with Logan Henderson (2.88 ERA, 0.91 WHIP), who is equally impressive in his sample. Two aces matching up means low run environments and pitcher dominance — the Dodgers' lineup edge vs RHP (.262/.771) is real but doesn't justify the heavy chalk.

Houston has the offensive edge with Yordan Alvarez (1.058 OPS, 36 HR) anchoring a lineup that hits better at home vs RHP (.247/.742). Multiple Astros are hot recently (Paredes, Smith, Altuve, Diaz). However, Bryan Woo (4.15 ERA, 1.10 WHIP) and Hunter Brown (3.68 ERA, 1.27 WHIP) are fairly comparable starters without a clear pitching advantage for either side. Seattle's offense is cold (3.2 R/G last 5) and they are 3-7 in their L10. The -118 on Houston has some merit given Alvarez, but without a clear pitching edge and Houston's own recent inconsistency (L1 streak), this doesn't clear the threshold for a play.
