Washington's home edge and slightly better pitching infrastructure (4.71 team ERA vs 5.42) creates a marginal lean, but neither starter clears the 70 pitching threshold and the data is too muddy to justify a play.

Gordon Graceffo has been quietly outstanding — 3.13 ERA, 1.12 WHIP in 63.1 IP with a 7-1 record — easily clearing the pitching gate for a lean. The Cardinals lineup, despite a 3-7 L10, has a slight platoon edge against Rogers (LHP), hitting .239/.710 vs LHP. St. Louis features legitimate heat at the top with Burleson (.340 L14), Walker (.291 L14), and Church (.290 L14), all running hot. Baltimore's offense has been boosted by Alonso (.473 L14) and a few other hot bats, but Rogers' 4.14 ERA and 1.24 WHIP are solid without being dominant, and the Cardinals' 3.87 RA/G reflects a quality run-prevention unit. At +111, there's slight positive value on the Cardinals.

Gerrit Cole is the dominant factor here — 3.11 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 100 K in 92.2 IP — one of the best starters in baseball this season and clearly clears the pitching gate. The Yankees are 75-57 with a 7-3 L10, running hot and scoring 4.9 R/G in their last 10 games. Multiple lineup contributors are scorching: García Jr. (.340 L14), Chisholm (.311 L14), Bellinger (.327 L14), Grisham (.259 L14). Houston counters with Wesneski (only 27.2 IP sample, 4.23 ERA) and an offense that has slowed to 3.9 R/G recently with a 3-7 L10. The Yankees' team ERA of 3.19 and pitching depth further reinforce the edge. At -154, the price is a slight negative but Cole's dominance and New York's overall superiority justify the play.

Kansas City has been the hottest team in baseball over their last 10 games at 9-1, and the offense has exploded to 5.5 R/G with a .837 OPS in that stretch. Cameron is a quality LHP (4.02 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 128 K in 143.1 IP) and Toronto's lineup hits significantly worse against LHP (.224/.641 vs LHP vs .254/.703 vs RHP) — a material platoon disadvantage. Multiple KC bats are hot: Witt (.333 L14), Caglianone (.404 L14), Massey (.383 L14), Pasquantino (.327 L14). Arrighetti's 4.73 ERA and 1.35 WHIP are mediocre. Cameron's ERA doesn't clear 70 cleanly on the pitching scale alone, but the combination of KC's offensive explosion and Toronto's severe LHP split creates a clear lean at near-even money (-105).

Jacob Misiorowski is putting together one of the most dominant pitching seasons in recent memory — 1.68 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, 216 K in 145 innings with a 13-5 record. This is a clear and decisive pitching advantage that anchors the case for Milwaukee. The Brewers are 82-51 with a 7-3 L10, scoring 6.2 R/G over their last 10 games. Their team ERA (3.51) and run prevention (4.38 RA/G) further reinforce the edge. The Mets offense has multiple cold hitters (Ewing .145 L14, Alvarez .149 L14), and while Manaea has decent strikeout numbers, his 4.31 ERA and 1.31 WHIP can't match Misiorowski. The main concern is the -192 price — significant negative value at the window — but the pitching edge here is so overwhelming it justifies the play.

This is a true marquee pitching duel — Yamamoto (2.61 ERA, 0.90 WHIP) vs. Sale (2.20 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 166 K) — with both starters clearly elite. Atlanta's home edge and Sale's slightly superior ERA point minimally toward the Braves, but the Dodgers are the better overall team (80-53) with a higher run-scoring ceiling (5.13 R/G). The Braves offense has slowed to just 3.0 R/G in their last 10 games, and multiple key bats are cold (Olson .212 L14, Acuña .161 L14). Dodger cold spots (Tucker .113 L14, Ohtani .246 L14) offset some of that advantage. With two elite aces and legitimate uncertainty on both sides of the ball, this is a pass — the near-even prices (+111/-119) don't offer enough edge to pick a side.

This is a difficult game to play confidently. Arizona sends Jose Cabrera to the mound — a near-empty sample (17.2 IP) with a troubling 5.60 ERA and 1.53 WHIP — which is a significant pitching liability for a team that should be favored based on roster quality. The Diamondbacks' offense also hits materially worse vs RHP (.230/.685) compared to their vs-LHP splits (.279/.794), removing a key advantage against Roupp. San Francisco's lineup is patchwork with multiple weak hitters (Kennedy .364 OPS, McCray .470 OPS), but Roupp (4.34 ERA) is serviceable at home. The near-even prices (-105/-103) reflect genuine uncertainty. Cabrera's pitching liability prevents a Diamondbacks lean despite their superior overall profile.
