Grayson Rodriguez is one of the worst starters in the data — a 6.41 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in 66 IP signals real struggles. Cantillo is a solid mid-rotation arm (3.73 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 144 Ks). Cleveland is riding a 6-game win streak with a dominant L10 (8-2) and their offense has erupted (5.1 R/G L10). Multiple hot hitters for the Guardians — Kwan (.333), DeLauter (.365), Angel Martinez (.319) — support the run total. The Angels are a last-place team with a cold offense (3.9 R/G L10). The -135 line carries fair value given the multi-factor edge.

Both pitchers are mid-tier — Chandler (4.38 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) vs Vásquez (4.19 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) is a wash. Neither offense is particularly potent — Pittsburgh has gone cold (3.2 R/G L10, .205 AVG, .592 OPS) while San Diego is similarly lukewarm (3.7 R/G L10). Their team ERA of 3.33 and RA/G of 3.16 make them the best all-around team on this slate. Miami is a .500 team with average offense and an inexperienced pitcher. The -129 is palatable for this level of edge.

This is a battle of flawed starters and struggling teams. Gordon's 5.75 ERA/1.49 WHIP vs Waldron's catastrophic 7.54 ERA/1.62 WHIP in a tiny 37-IP sample creates uncertainty rather than a clear edge. Both offenses are cold in L10 — Colorado at 4.1 R/G and Washington at just 3.3 R/G with a .597 OPS. The Nationals hit just .196/.597 over L5 (10G) which is abysmal. Despite Waldron being the weaker arm on paper, Colorado's own pitching concerns and their 2-8 L10 form make this difficult to back. No edge is reliable here.

Elmer Rodríguez has appeared in only 17 IP with a 4.76 ERA and a terrible 1.76 WHIP — a spot starter or call-up profile facing a legitimate Houston offense featuring Yordan Alvarez (.323/.1.056 OPS, 36 HR, .304 L14G). Peter Lambert is a solid mid-rotation arm (3.68 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 120 Ks) who clearly outclasses the opponent. Astros have Isaac Paredes hot (.327 L14G 🔥) and a lineup that hits .245/.737 vs RHP. At +107, Houston represents genuine positive value given the pitching edge. The Yankees' own bats are lukewarm (4.1 R/G L10, .673 OPS).

Kansas City is riding a scorching 9-game winning streak with a 9-1 L10 record — the hottest team in baseball. Milwaukee is the best team on this slate record-wise (81-51) with strong lineup production (5.5 R/G L10, .763 OPS) — Bauers (.883 OPS), Chourio, and Mitchell (.308 L14G 🔥) headline the attack. The Mets have been playing well (7-3 L10) with hot bats (Bichette .345, Benge .370 L14G 🔥), creating some concern, but the quality gap and pitching mismatch favor Milwaukee. At -149, the value is reduced but the edge is real.

AJ Smith-Shawver has pitched only 8.2 IP with a 6.23 ERA and 1.62 WHIP — essentially an unknown quantity but with poor early results. Sasaki (4.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 114 Ks in 116 IP) is a legitimate starter who clearly outclasses the Braves' spot option. LA's lineup is elite — Ohtani (.934 OPS), Freeman (.299 AVG), Max Muncy (.855 OPS, .318 L14G 🔥) — and they hit .261/.767 vs RHP. The Dodgers are the best overall team in this dataset (80-52) and their pitching staff (3.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP) is top-tier. Atlanta's offense has been ice cold (2.7 R/G L10, .601 OPS) despite individual talent. The -127 is palatable.

Sean Burke is quietly excellent — 3.27 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 158 Ks in 146 IP — outpitching Gore (4.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP). Chicago's lineup exploits the matchup with multiple hot bats: Vargas (.360 L14G, .856 OPS 🔥), Peters (.372 L14G 🔥), Grichuk (.387 L14G 🔥) all on fire. The White Sox hit .235/.727 vs LHP, a decent split. Texas has cold bats (Nimmo, Pederson ❄️ L14G) despite Gore's K upside (161 Ks). At -119, the home price is reasonable given Burke's quality. This is a moderate lean rather than a strong play.

McGreevy (3.54 ERA, 1.21 WHIP) has a slight edge over Bradish (3.70 ERA, 1.38 WHIP), but neither provides a clear pitching advantage. Both teams are close to .500 with comparable offensive production. Baltimore has some hot bats (Alonso .473 L14G 🔥, Cowser .314 🔥, Taveras .275 🔥) but also cold contributors. St. Louis has Burleson (.353 L14G 🔥) and Jordan Walker (.285) carrying their lineup. The Cardinals are on a 4-game losing streak and their pitching hasn't been reliable, while Baltimore's offense scores only 3.89 R/G. This is too even to force a pick.

Both starters present concerns. Prielipp has a 5.57 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 93.2 IP, while Ginn is notably better (3.60 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 118 Ks). The A's hit .246/.713 vs LHP which is passable, and they have several hot bats (Butler .353 🔥, McNeil .345 🔥, Bolte .345 🔥). However, Minnesota's team ERA is a mess (4.34) and they've been cold (3.9 R/G L10). The Twins' own cold bats (Buxton, Larnach, Caratini ❄️) undermine the lineup. Ginn's advantage is real but the A's record (52-81) and bullpen (5.43 team ERA) create significant risk. The two factors pulling in opposite directions make this a pass.
