Nick Martinez has been excellent in 2026 — 3.04 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 14-4 record — making him one of the stronger pitching advantages on the slate. The Rays are the better overall team at 87-58 vs Atlanta's 85-61, and critically Atlanta has been slumping badly: 4-6 in L10, on a 3-game losing streak, scoring just 3.5 R/G over their last 10. The Braves lineup is riddled with cold hitters (Olson, Albies, Harris, Lane Thomas, Yastrzemski all ❄️), and their offense vs RHP (.729 OPS) is not particularly threatening. Tampa's lineup, while facing a LHP and hitting .251/.687 vs lefties (a split disadvantage), still has hot bats in Caminero and Hicks (🔥). At +105, Tampa offers genuine plus-money value against a Braves team that is clearly struggling.

Zack Wheeler is one of the premier starters on this slate — 3.23 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a dominant 163 K in 136.1 IP. He faces a Houston lineup that is decidedly mediocre (.724 OPS, 4.93 R/G) with several cold hitters (Peña ❄️, Javier Alvarez ❄️). Opposing him is Cristian Javier, who has been very poor in 2026: 5.98 ERA, 1.55 WHIP in only 49.2 IP — a significant pitching edge for Philadelphia. The Phillies have Bryce Harper 🔥 (.346 L14) anchoring the lineup and score over 5 R/G. The main concern is the -187 price, which requires a clear edge to justify — and the Wheeler-vs-Javier gap is wide enough to support it, even if the Phillies' recent offense has cooled slightly.

This is a close pitching matchup between two solid starters, but Texas carries a meaningful offensive edge. The Rangers are scoring 6 R/G over their last 10 games with an .811 OPS in that stretch, while Seattle's lineup is weaker season-long (.698 OPS, 4.2 R/G) and filled with cold hitters (Taylor Ward ❄️ .075 L14, Julio Rodríguez ❄️ .153 L14). deGrom has strong strikeout upside (174 K, 1.12 WHIP) though his ERA of 3.96 trails Gilbert's 3.71. Gilbert is the slightly better arm on paper, but the Texas offensive surge in recent games combined with +108 value on the Rangers makes this a lean. Seattle is below .500 (68-78) and playing at home but without meaningful recent momentum despite a W1 streak.

This is the clearest edge on the slate. Max Fried is pitching at an elite level (2.73 ERA, 0.99 WHIP) against a Colorado team that is 55-90, on a 3-game losing streak, and sending Ryan Feltner to the mound (5.91 ERA, 1.58 WHIP). The Yankees are on a 7-3 L10 run, scoring 6 R/G in that stretch, with multiple 🔥 hot hitters (Rice, Chisholm, García Jr., Goldschmidt). Colorado hits .250/.701 vs LHP, which is their weaker split, further amplifying Fried's advantage. The only concern is the -301 price, which is steep, but the multi-factor dominance — pitching gate cleared easily, clear offensive edge, superior recent form — supports a play despite the heavy juice.

This game is a genuine toss-up. Hagen Smith's numbers are eye-popping (0.56 ERA, 0.94 WHIP) but in only 16 innings — far too small a sample to weight heavily, and he faces a Pirates lineup that hits .242/.685 vs LHP, which is their weaker split. Jones has a pedestrian 4.46 ERA against a White Sox offense that is cooling fast (3.4 R/G in L10, 3-7 L10 record). Pittsburgh's recent form is strong (8-2 L10, W3 streak, 4.9 R/G in L10) and they have hot bats in Reynolds and Lowe (both 🔥). With both teams near .500, even moneyline pricing (-110 each), and genuine uncertainty around Smith's tiny sample, this is a pass — not enough conviction on either side.
