This is a remarkably balanced matchup between two elite starters and two nearly identical teams. Yamamoto (2.53 ERA, 0.87 WHIP) is slightly better on traditional metrics than Henderson (2.47 ERA, 0.84 WHIP), but Henderson's WHIP is actually marginally better and he's been dominant in limited innings. Both offenses hit RHP at roughly the same level (.766 OPS for LAD, .759 for MIL), and both teams are running identical L10 records (8-2). The Dodgers carry more star power but have several ice-cold key bats (Ohtani, Freeman, Muncy, Edman) while MIL has hot hitters in Turang and Ortiz. At -136, the Dodgers offer neutral value but there is no clear edge to justify a lean in either direction — this is a coin-flip game between two playoff-caliber clubs.

Rasmussen (2.67 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 174 K in 172 IP) is a clear pitching advantage for Tampa Bay and would normally anchor a lean, but the Rays' offense is a serious concern. TB hits LHP at only .248/.679 — well below their vs-RHP splits (.263/.752) — and their L5 has been ice cold (3.8 R/G, .629 OPS). Key bats Yandy Díaz and Liam Hicks are cold over L14, and the lineup lacks a true power threat against Griffin outside of Caminero. Cleveland's offense has been surging (5.3 R/G in L5, .807 OPS) with hot bats in Kwan, Angel Martínez, and Rocchio, which partially neutralizes Rasmussen's edge. At -174, the Rays carry significant negative line value — that price requires an overwhelming edge that the offense simply cannot support right now. Pass.
