Parker Messick is the clear pitching edge here — a 2.56 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 193 K over 186.1 innings is a dominant season, and he matches up favorably against a Tampa Bay lineup that hits significantly worse vs LHP (.248/.679) than vs RHP (.263/.752). The Rays are also in a cold offensive stretch, averaging just 3.8 R/G over their last 10 games with a .226/.629 slash. Freddy Peralta has been inconsistent (4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP), and Cleveland's offense has been scalding hot lately (5.3 R/G over last 5, .807 OPS L5), with Steven Kwan and Angel Martínez both 🔥. At +110, the Guardians offer slight positive moneyline value, making this a worthwhile lean despite the overall record gap.
