Milwaukee holds a clear edge in recent form (103-59, W5 streak, 8-2 L10) against a Tampa Bay club that has gone just 5-5 over its last 10 and dropped its most recent game. The pitching matchup leans modestly toward Gasser, whose ERA (3.87) and WHIP (1.19) are tighter than Peralta's (4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP), and crucially, the Rays offense is materially worse against left-handed pitching — posting just .248/.679 vs LHP compared to .263/.752 vs RHP. Milwaukee's lineup, paced by hot bats from Brice Turang (L14 .340 🔥) and Joey Ortiz (L14 .360 🔥), is capable of doing damage against a right-hander. The Brewers ML at near pick'em pricing (-102) offers solid value given these converging edges.
