Hunter Brown's 3.42 ERA and 1.29 WHIP is a clear step above Jameson Taillon's ugly 5.92 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. Houston's lineup is scorching hot — 5.4 R/G over L10, Yordan Alvarez posting a .400 L14 AVG with a 1.087 OPS, and Jeremy Peña at .387 L14. Taillon's stuff has been punishable all season and faces a red-hot Astros lineup. HOU's L10 8-2 record and W1 streak reinforce the home edge. The -203 line is steep but the edge is real across pitching and offense.

Shota Imanaga (3.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 119 K in 127.2 IP) is a clear pitching edge over Eric Lauer (4.50 ERA). The Cubs lineup hits LHP well — .264/.792 vs LHP — giving them a favorable split against Lauer. Pete Crow-Armstrong (.919 OPS), Seiya Suzuki (.850 OPS), and several hot bats make Chicago's lineup dangerous at home. The Dodgers are on a brutal L5 skid (3-7, L5 streak) and Lauer's profile doesn't inspire confidence as the away starter. However, the Dodgers' overall lineup quality with Ohtani and Freeman keeps this from being a strong lean.

Whisenhunt's numbers are alarming (6.63 ERA, 1.74 WHIP in just 19 IP) and the Giants offense has several cold bats. However, Cody Bradford's stats are entirely unknown, making a confident handicap impossible. Texas is also only 3-7 in L10 and scoring just 3.2 R/G in the last 5. With a green pitcher on one side and a struggling Rangers offense on the other, the data is too incomplete to commit.

Nick Martinez is having a phenomenal season — 2.77 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 10-3 record in 123.1 IP. He's a massive pitching edge over Sugano and faces a Rockies team with a 5.52 ERA/1.52 WHIP staff. The Rays are 67-46 and W2 on a strong run. While Coors Field inflates offense, Tampa Bay's lineup hits RHP at .264/.755, and Junior Caminero's .925 OPS and Chandler Simpson's .420 L14 AVG are threats. The -154 price is slightly steep but the edge across pitching and record justifies it.

Both starters sit in the 4.03–4.27 ERA range with comparable WHIPs, making the pitching matchup close to even. Baltimore's lineup is genuinely struggling — only 3.8 R/G in L10 and several key bats are ice cold (Taveras, Cowser, Jackson). The Angels are 2-8 in L10 with a brutal L1 loss and only 2.9 R/G offensively in that span. Neither team presents a clear edge across the three factors.

Christian Scott (2.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) edges Bibee (3.81 ERA, 1.15 WHIP), but the Mets offense is one of the weakest in baseball at .684 OPS and 4.06 R/G and only hits RHP at .230/.678. Cleveland's offense is equally unimpressive — 3.1 R/G in L10. This looks like a low-scoring game with near-even pitching. The moneyline is essentially a pick'em (-102/-105), and with no meaningful edge on either side, a pass is warranted.

Both starters are struggling — Lopez at 5.79 ERA/1.67 WHIP and Lowder at 5.42 ERA/1.52 WHIP. Neither clears the pitching gate threshold of 70. The A's are 1-9 in L10 on a 6-game skid with only 3.1 R/G, while the Reds are 6-4 in L10 but equally unimpressive at 4.0 R/G. The Reds have a modest home edge and better recent form, but the pitching gate disqualifies a strong lean and the -146 price is too steep for two bad starters.

Andrew Painter's 6.72 ERA and 1.61 WHIP is alarming for the Phillies home favorite, failing the pitching gate entirely at -186. Washington is on a 7-game losing streak and Irvin is also poor at 5.56 ERA. Both starters are seriously compromised, and while Philly has a better recent form (W4 streak, 5.3 R/G L10), paying -186 for a starter with a 6.72 ERA is too steep. The Nationals have CJ Abrams (.911 OPS, .358 L14) as a genuine threat. No play given Painter's inability to clear the pitching gate.

Pallante (3.72 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 11-6) is actually the better starter on paper over Warren (4.14 ERA, 1.36 WHIP), giving STL a slight pitching edge despite being the away underdog. However, the Yankees bullpen (team ERA 3.34) and home environment give NYY a real edge. Both offenses are sluggish in L10 — Yankees .205 AVG with 3.7 R/G, Cardinals 3.3 R/G. The Cardinals at +144 are interesting but their 3-7 L10 record and cold offense make it hard to commit. Too close to call with mixed signals.

Sonny Gray is one of the best starters on this slate — 2.93 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 13-2 record, and 98 K in 113.2 IP. He represents a strong pitching edge over Burke (3.04 ERA is solid but Gray's overall profile and run support are superior). Boston is 8-2 in L10, riding a 6-game winning streak, and averaging 5.6 R/G in L10 — their offense is legitimately hot. Rafaela (.339 L14), Durbin (.319 L14), and Monasterio (.375 L14) anchor a surging lineup. The -128 price is fair value for the quality of the edge.

The Braves are 68-45 and riding a 6-game winning streak, which is compelling. However, Bryce Elder (3.84 ERA, 1.25 WHIP) vs Eury Pérez (3.44 ERA, 1.10 WHIP) actually gives Miami a slight pitching edge. The Marlins at +110 have genuine value — Pérez is excellent, and the Marlins are a .509 team with a respectable lineup. Atlanta's L10 offense has cooled (3.8 R/G), and several key Braves are cold (Harris .200, Dubón .208 L14). At +110, Miami has underdog value, but the Braves' superior roster depth and home environment keep this as a no play.

Dean Kremer's 6.50 ERA in 36 IP is a serious red flag and prevents MIN from having a pitching edge. Noah Cameron (4.59 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) is mediocre as well. The Twins hit LHP poorly — .226/.675 — which further hurts their case against Cameron. KC is 47-67 but 4-6 in L10. Both offenses are below-average in recent form. With a bad starter for Minnesota and a mediocre KC staff, this is a coin flip with no identifiable edge.

Kyle Harrison (3.01 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 101 K in 83.2 IP, 8-2 record) is one of the best starters on today's slate and edges Skenes (3.90 ERA, 1.11 WHIP). Milwaukee is 70-43 — the best record in this game — on a W1 streak with 4.6 R/G in L10. Critically, the Brewers lineup hits RHP extremely well at .260/.754, and their top bats (Turang .315 L14, Bauers .878 OPS, Chourio .805 OPS) are in good form. Pittsburgh hits LHP poorly (.246/.693) and several key bats are cold (Reynolds .175, Horwitz .192, Valdez .119 L14).

Casey Mize (2.70 ERA, 0.99 WHIP) is dominant and has a massive edge over Mitch Bratt (5.23 ERA, 1.84 WHIP in 20.2 IP — clearly still being stretched). Mize's sub-1.00 WHIP is elite and the Padres are scorching hot — 8-2 in L10, 5.2 R/G in L10, hitting .308 as a team recently with Merrill (.404 L14) and France (.327 L14) leading the charge. Arizona hits RHP poorly at .229/.677 and Bratt's tiny sample with ugly numbers is a major liability. The -118 price is neutral and the edge is clear.

Detroit is on a 4-game winning streak and averaging a stunning 7.6 R/G in L10 — the hottest offense on today's slate. Their lineup is loaded with hot bats: Colt Keith (.405 L14), McKinstry (.341 L14), Dingler (.339 L14), McGonigle (.304 L14), and Torkelson (.308 L14). Bryan Woo (4.56 ERA) doesn't have the profile to suppress this red-hot offense. Anderson (4.24 ERA) is mediocre, but the Tigers' offensive explosion and +138 underdog value make this a lean. However, Anderson's ERA prevents a strong lean per the pitching gate.
